1. What is the difference between dry chemical molecular media and activated carbon?

The dry chemical molecular media is chemical adsorption: the pollutants react with the molecular media, and the gaseous pollutants are converted into harmless substances and remain inside the molecular media to prevent secondary pollution. The molecular media of dry chemical filtration uses chemical adsorption to effectively remove harmful substances in the gas. High efficiency and large capacity to remove pollutants, long service life, molecular media life can be monitored and predictable.

Activated carbon is physical adsorption: pollutants enter the pores of the molecular media, and adsorption occurs on the surface of the molecular media. Generally, the larger the specific surface area of the molecular media, the more pollutants it adsorbs. The reversible adsorption process has the possibility of secondary pollution.

2. Are dry molecular media materials toxic?

Proper use of filter materials is non-toxic and harmless to the environment, workers and protected objects.

Large amounts of molecular media can be hazardous to the environment when used or disposed of improperly.

Properly treated, the molecular media is harmless to humans, animals, and the environment.

3. Is the dry chemical molecular media contaminated?

The dry chemical purification molecular media continuously removes harmful gases from the air by chemical absorption. In this immediate chemical reaction process, the contaminated gases are first adsorbed or captured on the surface of the filter material, and then they are decomposed into harmless solids by the molecular media through chemical reactions and stored inside the filter material. This ensures that once the contaminated gas is removed from the environment, it cannot be returned to the air.

4. Can chemical filter materials be used in other filtration systems?

Can be used.

It is necessary to calculate the air volume of the original filtration system, the pressure of the fan and the pressure drop of the filter material. We have professional technical engineers to help with project planning, design and calculation.

5. How to determine whether the air quality of the environment using chemical filters is acceptable?

In corrosive gas control applications, the atmospheric corrosion level classification monitoring sheet is usually used for periodic monitoring. If the test result meets the G1 mild corrosion level in ISA 71.04 standard, it is qualified. If the test result exceeds the G1 level, the molecular media needs to be replaced.

In malodour (odor) removal applications, controlled environments or vents are required to meet zero odor.

6. How long does the chemical molecular media or chemical filter last?

It is recommended that samples of the bulk filled chemical molecular media be taken every 3 months after it has been placed in service and sent to the EcoKeeper laboratory for testing of the remaining life of the material.

If it is a pure activated carbon material, it is recommended to extract the material sample at a fixed time and send it to the laboratory for CTC activity value test to analyze the remaining life of the material.

As with dust particulate filters, the life of a chemical filter depends on the type, air flow, and concentration of the filtered contaminated gas from the filtered gas. If the type and concentration of pollutants are known, the service life can be accurately calculated.

7. Does moisture affect the filtration results?

No impact.

Different from traditional activated carbon materials, the stable use of chemical filter materials is in the range of -20 ℃ ~ 51 ℃ and 10% ~ 90% relative humidity. EcoKeeper's chemical filters have numerous successful applications in both hot and humid tropical regions and cold and dry environments.

8. How to determine which molecular media to use?

Filter materials with different functions, different shapes and different sizes are available for different gaseous pollutants and use requirements, combined with the environmental application database search of EcoKeeper.

9. Can removal efficiency of chemical filter materials or chemical filters be predicted in advance?

If the type, concentration and air volume of pollutants are known, we can accurately calculate the removal efficiency of the filter.

10. How to deal with the used filter materials or filter products?

Materials used to remove toxic substances shall be tested and classified as solid waste chemicals.

According to Chinese laws and regulations, both general solid waste and hazardous waste materials after use must be handed over to solid waste treatment plants for harmless treatment.

11. What are the procedures for controlling the environmental air quality of the library?

Step 1, assessment: comprehensive assessment of ambient air quality, using CCC atmospheric corrosion test pieces to judge whether the controlled environment meets the standard requirements and technical indicators;

Step 2-Control: Control the air quality of the controlled environment according to the test data or report of step 1. The use of EcoKeeper chemical filtration materials and devices to achieve controlled environmental air quality standards and indicators;

Step 3-Monitoring: Long-term monitoring of ambient air quality. Use CCC atmospheric corrosion test pieces and ÅirIQ atmospheric corrosion monitors to ensure that the controlled ambient air quality meets the requirements of relevant standards.

Step 4-Optimization: Based on a summary analysis of the data obtained from long-term monitoring of ambient air quality, EcoKeeper assigns the user a preventive maintenance plan that maximizes the efficiency of the equipment and optimizes the life of the chemical filter material.

12. What are the differences between CCC atmospheric corrosion test pieces and ÅirIQ atmospheric corrosion monitors?

When the CCC atmospheric corrosion test piece is used, the test piece is generally placed in the environment on the tested side for about 30 days, and then the thickness of the corrosion film formed on the surface of the test piece and the types of possible pollutants are analyzed. This technique can reflect the cumulative rate of corrosion reaction in the environment, evaluate the average destructive ability of the polluted gas in the measured environment during the measured period, and provide the category of corrosive gaseous pollutants. CCC atmospheric corrosion test pieces can provide continuous environmental evaluation and grading.

ERMs atmospheric corrosion monitors can continuously monitor corrosion changes in a controlled environment in real time, and they can also provide temperature and humidity measurements. Temperature and humidity can affect the corrosion reaction, and they are also the two main parameters that need to be controlled in the protection of the environment. This instrument can work independently, can be directly connected to the central computer, and can also form a monitoring network with other similar instruments. The monitoring data can be downloaded to the computer for processing, editing and drawing. Corrosion level, temperature and humidity can be updated every minute. These data can establish a database of environmental corrosion and provide a comprehensive and accurate evaluation for the protection of protected objects.

13. What is Egypt?

Angstroms are a non-legal unit of length, with the symbol Å. One angstrom is equal to 10-10 (one ten-billionth) of a meter. It is mainly used to measure tiny length. The name of the unit is in honor of Swedish physicist Anders Jonas Ångström. In that study of corrosion rate in the monitored environment, the atmospheric corrosion rate classification monitor sheet was used, with copper and silver corrosion thickness in angstrom.
